Large Format Scanning
All documents larger than A3 are considered to be large format. Typically documents of this size are plans,
engineering drawings and maps, but we are able to convert all types of documentation of this size. Any damaged
documentation can be fixed, either before the scan, through physical repairs, or electronically by removing signs of
rips and tears, creases, stains, smudged ink and other defects if so required. This method of digital cleaning ensures
that documentation is readable and printable for future use.
Large format documentation can be scanned in black and white, greyscale or full colour and can be provided in TIFF,
JPEG or PDF. Drawings can be indexed individually by drawing number or title, merged together or inserted into another
multi-page document containing other related information. These images are then integrated into your document
management system or supplied on a stand-alone media such as CD, DVD or external hard drive.
We are also able to convert your scanned documentation into files suitable for use in AUTOCAD. AUTOCAD engineers can
then use these to create 2D and 3D rendered images. This service is particularly useful for architects and
